Clitheroe Youth Forum have undertaken many activities in the past few months. Below are some of the highlights of whats been happening in the community recently.
12 of our youth members went on a residential to the Lake District (Ormside Mill) for half term 2020 and just managed to stay there due to the serious flooding that was building up during their time there.
Our thanks go to Lancashire County Council for helping with £400 via County Councillor David Foxcroft (Community Champion). Our main thanks must go to Diane, Sonja and Colin being the adult volunteers who went on the trip. *The Community Foundation for Lancashire have kindly agreed to fund £500 in the summer towards a quad biking project via the John Laing Foundation and we appreciate this help.
We are delighted to announce that Leyton Hargreaves won the Senior Member of the Year 2018 for Lancashire Clubs. Leyton couldn't attend the awards but Kaitlin Wrighton who was awarded a prize for catching the largest fish during the Lancashire competition collected his trophy as well as Dionne Hannah's certificate a medal for being the runner up for the same event. We hope to show a photo of Leyton with the actual cup. Leyton has been a regular member of CYF for five years and been a valued member, always helpful, positive in his organisation and planning of so many activities and events which has been recognised at county level. Kaitlin is seen here receiving her award from the Lancashire Clubs Chairman. Congratulations to Leyton, Kaitlin and Dionne.
