Various activities took place over the Easter break 2014 such as quad biking, archery, cross bow shooting, kayaking, pottery and a trip round the Trough of Bowland for our WW2 project to view the various sites for the dedication stones and main Memorial boulder. The youth members met Dave Oyston from United Utilities who took the group for a walk to show them the beautiful valley which they will plant 25 trees for each serviceman killed during WW2 in this area. They also met Sandra Silk from Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in their offices who discussed what they do to protect and enhance this wonderful area. Later in the afternoon they met George Darby the vicar for Slaidburn in the church to discuss initial plans for the ceremony. We had hoped to meet the manager of Slaidburn Village Hall but this didn't happen. An ice cream in the village green at Slaidburn finished off a very productive day.

Plans are now being made for the May Half Term as well as other activities.
