Fishing at Pendle View
Fishing at Pendle View
We have now had several meetings with Martin James during October 2011 and November  following a fishing day at Barrow with kind permission of the owners and-presentations with other organisations concerned with this activity such as the Environment Agency, Conservation and Habitat for East Lancashire and the Ribble Valley Borough Council have taken place.

Through these talks the RVBC have moved the free fishing area for young people from the Low Moor area which wasn't practical to the Edisford stretch of water now marked by two posts. Permits must be obtained from the Council at the information offices at the Information Offices, Platform Gallery. Those aged 12 must show a rod licence. Those aged 11 and under must have an adult with them.

The above photo shows Conner Ingham landing a large carp helped by Michael Osliffe (April 2012). Nice one lads. Over forty young people attended our Easter fishing programmes.

Our thanks to Sported, Ribble Valley Homes and Clitheroe Town Council for help with funding these sessions.
