We Shall Remember Them-Heritage Lottery

Heritage Lottery Award
Heritage Lottery Award
Our third bid to the Heritage Lottery has finally been approved. This is to remember the servicemen killed in the Forest of Bowland during World War Two in 14 plane crashes by way of a memorial and headstones at the actual crash sites with a Remembrance Book and Braille Book as well as plant baby trees for each serviceman lost. This has already taken nearly 3 years to get to this stage. Work will commence on the research aspects to begin with.

The main memorial will be sited at Langden Brook in the heart of the Forest of Bowland with kind permission of United Utilities. We look forward to working with many organisations, people and schools in the process of this project.
